About the W.A.R. Challenge Ride

Introduction

The Warrior Angel Riders (W.A.R) Challenge Ride events are open to everyone—regardless of gender or affiliation. This unique event invites riders of all backgrounds and all types of motorcycles to embark on a self-led journey, visiting a variety of meaningful and scenic locations throughout the state. Participants ride at their own pace, creating unforgettable experiences while supporting a greater cause. You do not need to be a member of Warrior Angel Riders to participate. These challenges are proudly sponsored, designed, and created by Warrior Angel Riders members for everyone to enjoy.

We offer two unique Challenge Ride Events, each taking you on a fun and memorable tour of the beautiful state of Washington:

  • Quirky Quicky includes 25 quirky and fun locations to explore across Western Washington.

  • N’Usual to Pekuliar features 15 unique locations scattered throughout Washington.

Each event has a $25 registration fee, which helps cover operating costs such as postage, materials, promotional items, and October Celebration luncheon-related expenses.

These Challenge Rides are all about enjoying the open road, discovering hidden gems, and experiencing parts of Washington you may never have known existed. Saddle up and enjoy the ride!

There will be a luncheon in October to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments, enjoy a great time together, meet fellow riders, and share stories from the road. Event details will be emailed to you and will also be posted on the WAR Spring/Summer Challenge Ride Facebook page and the @warchallengeride Instagram account as we get closer to September.

Length of Challenge

The Challenge Ride rolls out on the first day of spring—the vernal equinox—March 20, 2026, and cruises through September 30, 2026.

That’s 195 days (or 280,800 minutes… or a whopping 16,848,000 seconds!) to wander, wonder, and ride your way around the great state of Washington—no rush, just adventure.

This isn’t a race—there’s no first or last place here. The W.A.R. Challenge Ride is all about the journey, the experience, and the memories you make along the way.

SHARE YOUR ADVENTURE.

All photo entries must be submitted between March 20 and September 30, 2026. Visit as many destinations as you’d like and capture a photo at each stop along the way. Each photo must include all four required elements:

  • You

  • Your motorcycle

  • Your assigned placard

  • The location / destination

Photos missing any of these required items will not be accepted. Please upload your photo at our website.

Prefer to use email rather than this form? You can also submit your photo by sending it to warchallengeride@gmail.com and including the four required elements as mentioned above.

NOTE: If you join both Challenge Ride events, you will only be provided one placard number so there is no confusion on which placard to use when taking a photo at the varying locations.

Your photos, stories, challenges, and/or comments may be shared in the WAR Spring/Summer Challenge Ride Facebook group, the @warchallengeride Instagram account, and/or during our luncheon.  Please don’t let this deter you from sharing. This helps bring more excitement to the challenge and brings notoriety to your accomplishments. 

Celebration Luncheon

Prizes for each Challenge Ride are awarded at the W.A.R. Challenge Ride Luncheon, usually held in October. You must be present to win.

1st Place Winner will receive $100.

2nd Place Winner will receive $50.

3rd Place Winner will receive $25.
